Class: exam for Cross Media Design - Mobile Design
Exercise: For this class we had to visit a Belgian art exhibition and make an application about it. The app should gide a person a tour around the exhibition in a different way than a guide would do.
I choose the Museum Of Japanese Arts in Brussels, where at that time (2013) there was an exhibition about the life of the Japanese illustrator Hokusai. I tried to make the app fullly in the style of his works, most of the images I used in the application I cut out of his illustrations.
The tour is based on a tour Hokusai made himself. He illustrated the Fugi Mountain from different point of views during this trip. On every picture in this tour you can see the mountain (big or small). I also focussed on the lots of details in his work. I cut them out and tried to made the person look more carefull to Hokusai's work.
